Remarkable developments in ship performance over the last decade have sometimes fallen below the radar screen due to headline-producing advances in aerospace, information and medical technology. However, recent advances in ship design, combined with the increased efficiency of propulsion systems and computer-assisted design tools, have enabled ship designers to create ships with significant gains in speed and overall operating performance.

Working with BMT Nigel Gee and its innovative pentamaran hull design, SeaBridge has developed a roll-on/roll-off passenger and freight ship that has considerable advantages over conventional ships including higher speed, greater fuel efficiency, and better sea-keeping (handling and comfort qualities). The SeaBridge pentamaran represents a significant technological advance over existing ferry designs.
